Organic Batter Blaster

This organic batter in a can helped make Mother’s Day perfect.

I only had one wish for Mother’s Day this year: sleeping in with breakfast in bed. It doesn’t get any better than that. Unless you consider adding a cuddly toddler and a few Sunday cartoons to the mix, because that would bump it up on the perfection scale.

I searched for ways Lil’E could be involved in my wish beyond cartoon watching. I do let her help cooking when she shows interest but it is not always easy to keep the mess under control or to keep her away from the hot stove. Usually what I am doing is too complicated to give her the proper supervision required for a cooking toddler. But, this year I found the perfect product to get her cooking for Mother’s Day…

The Organic Batter Blaster. Yes, it is as cool as it sounds. Pancake batter in a Cheez Wiz can. Simply aim and shoot for the perfect little pancake. She loves it! It is quick, easy and virtually mess-free. She is still a little young for the dip and pour method of pancake preparation. This easy can is perfect for her coordination and skill level. She had a blast (no pun intended) squeezing the batter out of the can and onto the griddle. We even made fun shapes like Mickey Mouse and heart-shaped pancakes with little effort.

The batter is made from all organic ingredients, including wheat flour, eggs and sugar. Each can makes a solid two to three breakfast meals for our family of three. My only complaint? It has to be refrigerated. Pancakes are a treat in our house, so I was concerned that the batter would spoil before we finished the can. I solved this by making the rest of the batch and freezing for later. I can pop a frozen one in the microwave for a quick breakfast for Lil’E on the go.

To make any Sunday Mother’s Day, leave a can of Organic Batter Blaster in the fridge with Dad’s name on it. But beware, the giggles from the kitchen may ruin your sleeping in.
